INTERNATIONAL H.I.F. BIBER COMPETITION
in St. Florian Monastery, Upper Austria
PARTICIPATION RESTRICTIONS:
- Every musician can take part of the competition (no age
limit!);
- Singers and Ensembles are welcome; The formation of the ensemble can
be changed during the performance;
It's possible to take part in more than one formation;
- A program of 40 minutes in length, of which 15 minutes must be
performed in form of a concert. The jury will choose one composition
which should be completely played as a part of the program. Please
find your piece on a list next to the entrance of the hall at 1:30
p.m. the first competition day, when the Jury meets candidates;

A maximum of 10 points will be awarded according to
the following criteria:
Artistic expression, innovative interpretation, sound quality,
program choice, Austrian component, recently discovered literature,
presentation, technical and musical skill.

The artists have five minutes to adapt the stage.
Then we expect a appearance like in concert.
- Accompaniment must be provided by the candidate(s);
- After ca. 6 candidates there will be an open jury address;
- Candidates may and are encouraged to attend all presentations;
- Winners participate in a Concert (Sommerrefektorium, St.Florian
Monastery);
- The organ and harpsichord will be tuned in Young temperature,
a=415hz;
